Titans coaching search: Tennessee to interview New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka

NFL: International Series-New York Giants Practice Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Tom Pelissero is reporting that the Tennessee Titans have requested an interview with New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka. You can see a trend here with the majority of the interviews so far being former players. Kafka played quarterback in the league from 2010-2015. He even spent some time on the Titans practice squad in 2015.

Kafka has a pretty impressive resume as a coach. After spending one season as a graduate assistant at Northwestern, he joined Andy Reid’s staff with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was with the Chiefs from 2017-2021 before joining Brian Daboll’s Giants staff in 2022 as the offensive coordinator. Reid and Daboll are two of the most respected offensive minds in the league currently.

The names we have seen reported that the Titans want to interview so far include:

Brian Callahan

Aaron Glenn

Antonio Pierce

Dan Quinn

The Titans' head coaching position came open Tuesday when controlling owner Amy Adams-Strunk fired Mike Vrabel after six seasons and a 54-45 record.
