Titans fall to Colts 31-28 in overtime

In what might have been the funniest football game I have ever watched, the Indianapolis Colts beat the Tennessee Titans 31-28 in overtime at Nissan Stadium. It was the Titans' first loss at Nissan Stadium this year. The Titans got the ball first in overtime and could only manage a field goal. The Colts answered with a touchdown when Gardner Minshew found Michael Pittman in the back of the end zone.

The Titans lost their three best players in this game. Ryan Stonehouse was forced to leave the game after a Colts’ player got to him and knocked the ball out of his hand before he had the opportunity to punt ball. It looked like a pretty nasty injury. That came after the previous punt from Stonehouse was blocked. It’s amazing that Craig Aukerman still has a job.

Earlier in the game Jeffery Simmons was lost to a knee injury. As of this writing, we don’t have an update on the severity of his injury. The idea of playing the Miami Dolphins without Simmons on Monday night is terrifying.

Derrick Henry also left the game after taking a hit to his head. He was being evaluated for a concussion. If he has a concussion, it is not very likely that he will play against the Dolphins. Tyjae Spears was really good in Henry’s absence rushing for 75 yards on 16 carries.

There are so many things about this game that need to be broken down. We will do that over the next few days. For now, feel free to continue the discussion here. The Titans are now 4-8 on the season.
