Titans player to watch over the last two weeks: Treylon Burks

There are somethings worth watch in the final two weeks for the Tennessee Titans.

The Tennessee Titans have been eliminated from the playoffs. The thing that most people care about right now with this team is where they end up in the draft. They currently hold the 7th pick. That should put them in range to get a top-end offensive tackle or wide receiver. They need the tackle more, but they also desperately need speed on offense.

A guy that a lot of us have written off at this point is Treylon Burks - and with good reason. There was so much hype around Burks coming into the season. He was on pretty much every breakout list for fantasy football in August. He was reported to have done all of the right things in the offseason to be ready to make that happen this season.

Then he got injured in the joint practices with the Minnesota Vikings, and it has been one thing after another since then. He had a big play in week 2 against the Los Angeles Chargers but was hurt in the week three game against the Cleveland Browns. He missed the next month before coming back to play for two games and then suffering a concussion against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Thursday night game. That forced him to miss almost another month.

Burks has made some plays since then, but he still hasn’t found a way to be consistently productive even when he is on the field. It would be great if he could find some footing to build momentum heading into 2024. He has shown flashes of being good at times. There are only so many positions the Titans will be able to build up in one offseason. The quickest way for them to improve the wide receiver position would be for Burks to find a way to be a consistent playmaker for them.
