The Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks released their final injury reports of the week on Friday. Starting quarterback Will Levis was upgraded to a limited participant, and is officially listed as questionable for Sunday. A slew of other Titans have been ruled OUT.
Levis will be considered a game-time decision. Ryan Tannehill would start in Levis’ place if the rookie signal caller is unable to start. If Levis is medically cleared, he should play. In-game reps are valuable for rookie quarterbacks like Levis.
Three key secondary players have been ruled out. Safety Amani Hooker (knee), safety K’Von Wallace (quad), and cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting (hip) will be sidelined. Hooker was placed on season-ending IR. The Titans will be especially thin at safety and cornerback. Mike Brown, Terrell Edmunds, and Elijah Molden will be your three safeties.
Tre Avery and Roger McCreary will start at boundary cornerback with Eric Garror in the slot. Even Anthony Kendall may see some playing time. The challenge will be massive versus DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Linebackers Jack Gibbens (back) and Luke Gifford (hamstring) have been ruled OUT. JoJo Domann will likely start next to Azeez Al-Shaair. Recently acquired linebacker Garret Wallow is another option. Otis Reese IV should also be active.
Defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons (knee) was unsurprisingly ruled out. As was rookie defensive linemen TK McLendon Jr. The Titans will be relying on Jaleel Johnson, Marlon Davidson, Quinton Bohanna, and Keondre Coburn across the d-line on Sunday.
Kyle Philips (hamstring) was ruled OUT. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine was recently placed on season-ending IR with a hand injury. Treylon Burks (illness) appears in line to play.
On the offensive line, center Aaron Brewer (ankle) and right guard Daniel Brunskill (ankle) are questionable. Brunskill was a full participant on Friday, and Brewer was limited. If Levis plays, the Titans would prefer to have their starting offensive linemen available.
Tight ends Chig Okonkwo (illness), Trevon Wesco (shin), and Josh Whyle (knee) are questionable. Oknokwo missed Friday’s practice with an illness. The Titans didn’t make any roster moves here, so they must have confidence in their availability.
Starting quarterback Geno Smith will reclaim his position in the starting lineup, relegating Drew Lock to backup duties. Wide receiver Dee Eskridge, safety Jamal Adams, and EDGE Frank Clark have been ruled OUT. Julian Love will continue starting in place of the disgruntled Adams.
Sophomore running back Ken Walker is questionable. Zach Charbonnet could factor in. Rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon is questionable after missing consecutive practices. Cornerback Tre Brown and center Evan Brown are also questionable.
