NFL Saturday football open thread

Three NFL games for your viewing pleasure today.

Now that college football regular season is over, the NFL takes over Saturdays. Today there are three games. The first features the Minnesota Vikings at the Cincinnati Bengals. This game looked a lot more attractive back in May when it was scheduled to feature Kirk Cousins against Joe Burrow, but both of those guys are out for the year. Nick Mullens vs. Jake Browing doesn’t have the same ring.

The second game will also feature neither of the starting quarterbacks from week one when the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Indianapolis Colts. Both of these teams somehow have a winning record. The Colts wouldn’t have if the Tennessee Titans had not of let them block two punts in the game a couple of weeks ago.

Game three should be the best of the day when the resurgent Denver Broncos take on the resurgent Detroit Lions. The Lions lead the NFC North and the Broncos are only a game behind the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West. That’s pretty crazy considering Denver started 1-5 and gave up 70 to the Miami Dolphins in week three.
