Taking Care of Business

It was an impressive win by the Titans on Sunday. The defense played phenomenally holding the Dolphins to only 3 points. Offense played better than we’ve seen in recent weeks with a very good running game from D’Onta Foreman and even Dontrell Hilliard had a pretty decent outing. AJ Brown wasn’t needed too much on Sunday as the tight ends were involved and picked up some slack. MyCole Pruitt suffered an ankle injury; hopefully he has a speedy recovery. Tannehill didn’t need to do much throwing for only 120 yards but tossed a pair of touchdowns in the process and also getting revenge against his former team on Sunday. With the suffocating defense and the terrific ground game success Tannehill and Brown weren’t needed as much in this contest. The Titans were able to stop the Dolphins right in their tracks looking for their eighth consecutive win on Sunday and keeping their playoff hopes alive. With a 34-3 victory over the surging Dolphins and an upset loss by the Chiefs; our Titans are now in the number one seed in the AFC. Myself personally, I thought that the number one seed was out of contention for the Titans but they have proved me wrong and now have a chance at claiming that number one seed once and for all.

Looking ahead to the week 18 matchup against the Texans the Titans need to take care of business and beat the Texans. Earlier this season the Texans came into Nissan Stadium and shocked the Titans and in order to avoid a repeat of this the Titans mustn’t overlook these Texans. If the Titans can’t beat the Texans then quite frankly they don’t deserve to be the number one seed. With the number one seed on the line I don’t think the Titans will let this game slip out of their grasps.

Now, news broke out this week that King Henry has returned to practice and would be ready for the playoffs. Videos have shown online of King Henry in practice and he looks good. The question is that is Henry at 100% or not and should he play against the Texans? Reports have said that it is a longshot for Henry to play against the Texans and a win would give him another week of rest before returning for the playoffs. If it were up to me, I would play Henry; give him one series 5-8 carries to have some in-game experience again before the playoffs just to loosen any rust from being on the shelf for the past two months. I know this is probably an unpopular opinion but I would want Henry to get some in-game experience because nothing stimulates football better than an actual game. Regardless of whether Henry plays or not I’m sure that Vrabel will make the best choice for Henry and the team.
