The Tennessee Titans made several roster moves on Tuesday afternoon as the team is dealing with multiple injuries at the outside linebacker position. Derick Roberson and Rashad Weaver have been placed on IR, while the team is reuniting with a familiar face in Sharif Finch.

Starting with Weaver, Paul Kuharsky initially reported that the rookie pass rusher broke his right fibula in Week 3’s win over the Colts. It’s a tough break for a rookie that was starting to earn more reps on the backend of the defensive line rotation.
Turning our attention to Roberson, it’s a double whammy at the outside linebacker position. Roberson was inactive against the Colts as he was reportedly dealing with a knee issue, and will now join Weaver on the mend. Don’t look now, but the Titans could be incredibly thin on the edges. Bud Dupree was active on an emergency basis on Sunday, and if he’s unable to play in Week 4, it would love Tennessee with Harold Landry and Ola Adeniyi as the only pass rushers on the active game day roster.
Tennessee did make a move in case of emergency here by reuniting with outside linebacker Sharif Finch, who originally signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Temple following the 2018 NFL Draft. Finch spent 2018 and 2019 with the team, and he played in 23 games during those two seasons, when he tallied 35 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Fans were excited about Finch’s potential in 2018, but he quickly fizzled out out favor and was eventually released.
Finch has had a bit of a rough go since initially showing promise in Tennessee. He’s struggled to find a permanent home, as he’s since spent time with the Bengals, Raiders, Bears and Jets. Don’t look now, but there’s a solid chance Finch will be active for this Sunday’s game against the Jets.
As always, stay tuned to MCM for updates.
