David Long out for Titans Sunday

The Titans announced this afternoon that David Long will miss the season opener against the Cardinals with a hamstring injury. Long isn’t a starter, but he has had a pretty significant role on the defense at times. His athleticism will be missed against Kyler Murray.

Long is the only guy that won’t be available to the team on Sunday. The Titans were fortunate to make it through training camp and the preseason without suffering any major injuries to starters on the team. They were also lucky to be able to get everyone back that went on the COVID list a couple of weeks ago.

This team has a legitimate chance to be a Super Bowl contender this season. They have the most talent they have ever had on the offensive side of the ball. All they need is the defense to take a minor step forward and they will be in the mix when February gets here.
