[UPDATE 2:04 PM] - Mason Kinsey cut

[UPDATE 8/31 10:26 AM] - Titans cut RB Javian Hawkins.

[UPDATE 3:28 PM] - Titans have cut OL Chandon Herring.

The Titans have until 3 PM central time on Tuesday, August 31st to get the roster down to 53 players. For most teams that means 27 players will be cut over the next couple of days. It has to be a wild time to be in an NFL front office.

The Titans started their process of cutting down the roster on Sunday afternoon when they waived 5 players - EDGE John Simon, DB Clayton Geathers, DL Freedom Akinmoladun, DB Nate Brooks and LB Cassh Maluia.

The above linked article also mentions that the team placed RB Brian Hill on IR. That ends his season. Keep in mind that a player has to make the initial 53-man roster to be eligible to return from IR during the season.

Ben Jones was also placed on the COVID-19 list.

This will be your thread to track the cuts over the next day. Justin Melo always does a great job of breaking news on these days. Make sure you are following him on Twitter @JustinM_NFL.
