The Tennessee Titans waived defensive back Kevin Peterson and placed running back Jeremy McNichols and linebacker Nick Dzubnar on the Covid-19/Reserve list, per Jim Wyatt and the team.

Also, the Titans waived DB Kevin Peterson on Tuesday.
Seeing two more players get added to the team’s Covid-19/Reserve list isn’t shocking. The news comes just two days after head coach Mike Vrabel announced he tested positive for the virus, and one day after the team placed defensive tackle Anthony Rush on the same list. The Reserve/COVID-19 list was created for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons. If a player falls into either of these categories, his club is required to immediately place the player on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
The Titans placed Peterson on injured reserve on August 16th before releasing him on Tuesday. The move indicates that Peterson passed a physical, otherwise the team couldn’t outright release him like they now have. Peterson was originally signed in June after he impressed on a tryout basis during rookie minicamp. Peterson played in 12 games with the Cardinals in 2020. He’ll now look to compete for a roster spot elsewhere.
Let’s hope none of the players placed on the Covid-19/Reserve list suffer a setback in their chase to secure a roster spot.
By my count, the Titans now have 79 players on the roster, with room to add one more to the current 80-man limit. As always, stay tuned to MCM for updates.
