Titans signing DTs Trevon Coley, Abry Jones

More depth on the defensive front.

The Tennessee Titans have added another body to the defensive line group today, signing Trevon Coley, per his agent. The four-year veteran spent last season with with the Arizona Cardinals.

The move has yet to officially be announced.

The Titans lost Daquan Jones and Jack Crawford this offseason and brought in Denico Autry. Depth remains a concern there behind Jeffery Simmons and Autry, as Teair Tart and Larrell Murchison are the current favorites to crack the rotation.

Coley signed with the Ravens back in 2016 as an undrafted free agent. He found a home in Cleveland in 2017 and 2018, starting nearly 30 games for the Browns over those two seasons. He moved on to Indianapolis in 2019, appearing in seven games before landing with the Cardinals in 2020.

The 6-1, 310 pound defensive tackle has 100 career tackles over the last four seasons. He’s been credited with 3.5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss.

Coley now lands in Tennessee, where he will have a chance to compete for a roster spot and provide some depth for a group that could use it.

UPDATE: The Titans have also signed Abry Jones and waived Daylon Mack and Jullian Taylor. Jones is an eight year veteran, playing his entire career with the Jaguars. The 29-year-old vet gives the Titans another body up front, as Jon Robinson churned his tackle room a bit today.
