A local star gets a chance...

The Tennessee Titans are bringing in another arm for training camp this year. I am reporting that former Memphis quarterback Brady White has received an invite to join the team at its rookie mini-camp.

White began his career at Arizona State. While at Memphis from 2018-2020, White threw for 10,690 yards and 90 touchdowns to just 30 interceptions in 39 total games. White was as prolific as ever this past season. He started 11 games, finishing with 3,380 yards with 31 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

White is one of the best and most accomplished quarterbacks in Memphis history. He absolutely mastered the Tigers’ spread offense. White can deliver the ball from the pocket while taking advantage of the weapons around him. The scheme at Memphis certainly helped him be successful, but there are some things to like here.

The only thing Titans fans need to acknowledge from this bit of news is that the team is bringing in an extra arm for camp. Let’s not pretend like they have anything worth keeping behind Ryan Tannehill. White should get a chance to compete with current backup Logan Woodside.

Woodside has the upper hand because he’s been around for a while, but it will be fun to see what White can do at training camp and hopefully the preseason.
