Peter King 2021 NFL mock draft

NCAA Football: Mississippi at Kentucky Katie Stratman-USA TODAY Sports

Peter King of NBC does one mock draft per year. He published it last night. In his mock the Titans traded the 22nd pick to the Baltimore Ravens for the 27th pick and the 94th pick. That trade would give the Titans 5 picks in the top 100. I would be on board for that.

For the pick at 27, King gave the Titans Elijah Moore, WR, Ole Miss. I would also be on board for that. As an aside, I hate agreeing with Peter King this much. It feels wrong.

The Titans have a lot of needs they need to hit in this draft. They cannot afford to leave the first two days of the draft without drafting at least one wide receiver and one cornerback. Obviously drafting Moore would fill one of those two needs.

Here is what King had to say about the pick:

After losing receiving targets Corey Davis (free agency, Jets) and Jonnu Smith (free-agency, Patriots), the only star available for Ryan Tannehill is A.J. Brown, a true difference-maker. I think GM Jon Robinson might have to take two wideouts, or a wideout and a tight end, in the first three rounds of this draft. Moore was good in college, but as one draft-watcher told me, he should be a better pro. He has 4.35 speed, and there’s no way a player with that speed should be a 12.9-yards-per-catch guy, which Moore was in three seasons in Oxford. Tannehill’s become a good deep-ball thrower, and he would be better with Moore streaking off the line.
