Sheil Kapadia of The Athletic has put out his top 50 2021 NFL free agents list. One thing to keep in mind whenever we talk about free agency is that a lot of the players on this list won’t ever hit the open market. A player could re-sign with his current team once that window opens. There is also the chance that the team could franchise the player. So this list will look quite a bit different when the new league year opens.

There are 4 members of the 2020 Titans on the list - Corey Davis at #20, Jonnu Smith at #35, Jadeveon Clowney at #42, and Desmond King at #48. I don’t know about you, but I would put Jayon Brown, who is mentioned in the section at the end, on the list ahead of Clowney.

I don’t fault Jon Robinson for the Clowney signing. J-Rob waited for the price to come down and got Clowney at a reasonable price. The result didn’t work out, but the process was fine. It just seems at this point that Clowney is living more off of reputation than anything else.

Brown is a guy who can do a lot of things for a defense. I have always said that the Titans can’t pay both Brown and Rashaan Evans. Before this year I thought this meant that Brown would end up somewhere else and Evans would get paid. Now it seems pretty obvious that it should be the other way around.

The other guy of significance not mentioned here is DaQuan Jones. It makes sense that he isn’t on the list, but he is still a guy that has been really solid for this team.

So of the guys listed - Davis, Jonnu, Clowney, King, Jayon, DaQuan, how would you prioritize the Titans bringing those guys back from 1 to 6?
