Todd McShay 2021 NFL mock draft

NCAA Football: Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl-Georgia vs Cincinnati Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Todd McShay has released his first post-Super Bowl 2021 NFL mock draft. McShay is on board with our “EDGE above all else” mantra for this offseason. He has the Titans taking Azeez Ojulari, EDGE, Georgia with the 22nd pick in his mock draft in which he made some trades early in the first round.

It is interesting that in this mock draft the first four picks are all quarterbacks. He has Justin Fields as the fourth quarterback off the board. That pick belongs to Arthur Smith and the Atlanta Falcons. A lot of people are assuming that Art is going to draft Matt Ryan’s replacement in this draft. That will be interesting to watch.

McShay also has the Bears trading up to take Mac Jones with the 12th pick. Look, I love Mac and what he did this year at Alabama, but Mac at 12 is a little rich for my blood.

Here are McShay’s comments on the Ojulari pick:

Tennessee had 13 sacks through 15 games before getting four in a Week 17 matchup with a dreadful Texans line. Don’t let the five sacks in the AFC wild-card playoffs fool you, either. Edge rushing is by far the biggest problem for the Titans, especially after the one-year deals for Jadeveon Clowney and Vic Beasley didn’t work out. Ojulari is certainly a start after the Titans suffered a net decline of 24 sacks from 2019 to 2020. I love his first-step quickness and “dip-and-rip” move coming around the corner.
