Titans sign Adrian Peterson to 53-man roster

The Tennessee Titans initially signed Adrian Peterson to the practice squad with the intent of elevating him to the active roster at some point. Apparently, some point is today. The Titans are signing Peterson to the active roster today according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network:

The Titans clearly had eyes for Adrian Peterson from the beginning. They had him in for a workout first thing after the Henry injury and immediately signed him. They didn’t work out anyone else.

It will be interesting to see how the touch share in the backfield plays out. At this point, the only two running backs on the active roster that should get carries are Jeremy McNichols and Peterson. Will they elevate Foreman before the game on Sunday? My guess is yes because you can’t go into this game with just the 36-year-old-playing-his-first-football-of-the-season Peterson and McNichols.

We are just over 57 hours away from finding out what life A.H. (After Henry) looks like for the Titans.
