Titans designate Jayon Brown, Derick Roberson and Aaron Brewer to return from IR

NFL: Chicago Bears at Tennessee Titans Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Some good news on the injury front today for the Titans. They designated Jayon Brown, Derick Roberson and Aaron Brewer to return from injured reserve today. That means they remain on IR but can practice with the team. It opens a three week window for the Titans to activate those players. If they do not, the player(s) will be on season ending IR.

Brown was a key piece of this defense early in the year last year. His role had been reduced somewhat this year because David Long has been playing so well. I’d love to see an inside linebacker duo of Brown and Long on the field.

Roberson is a guy that has been serviceable as a rotational piece at OLB. The good news is that the guys in front of him are playing so well right now that they won’t need to count on Roberson for anything other than giving those guys a breather.

Brewer adds some depth to the interior line that has been pretty banged up this season.
