While the Titans are 3-0, that start has not come without some issues that look pretty scary. Earlier today we looked at the reasons for optimism. Here we look at the reasons for concern:
- The secondary - Things will certainly be better when Adoree Jackson returns, but he isn’t out there right now and they are bad without him. Johnathan Joseph is nothing short of a liability. Malcolm Butler is up and down. They are going to need Kristian Fulton to step up and be a #1 in the interim. They also need Chris Jackson, who played ahead of Fulton in Denver but was inactive yesterday, to catch up quick and get ahead of Joseph in the rotation.
- The pass rush - The pass rush has come to this generation of Titans fans what receiver was to the OG Titans fans. It is the biggest need on the team year in and year out AND just when you think they have found the guy or guys that will solve the issue, something weird happens with them. They finally had all the guys on the field yesterday. Hopefully we are close to seeing a group that can create some pressure.
- The upcoming schedule - The next three games for the Titans are against Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Houston. The Steelers and Bills are playing really well on both sides of the ball. The Texans are 0-3 but have played a brutal schedule. We will know a lot more about this team when the calendar turns to November.
