Reports are that the Titans and Derrick Henry will not reach a deal by today’s deadline for a long term deal. That stinks, but it’s good that Henry has already signed the tender and is not showing any signs of holding out.
It’s important to note that Henry will make north of $10M this year, so it’s not like the Titans are not paying him. Given the team’s constant praise of Henry, I do think the long term plan is to keep him in Nashville.
Training camp preview #2 is the running backs. Derrick Henry is the clear cut workhorse, but Darrynton Evans should give him some spells to rest.
Is the salary cap real? Apparently not, as the Chiefs signed Chris Jones to a mega deal.
Chris Jones could have made an impact on the Titan defense. You know who else could? A free agent that is still out there, Jadeveon Clowney. I think it’s just a matter of time before “J.D.” is in two-tone blue .
