Titans News: A Shot of Leadership

NFL: New England Patriots at Houston Texans Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY Sports

Johnathan Joseph is joining the Titans as likely the 4th CB, but he’ll be 1st on the defense in experience. Hopefully he can help replace some of the leadership they lost this offseason in tandem with the young guys stepping up.

NFL.com lists the teams with the biggest chips on their shoulders. Personally, I think the Titans should be high up that list. Everyone will be doubting them in terms of whether or not they can duplicate their success. Can Tannehill be as good as he was? Won’t teams just take away Derrick Henry and snuff out the Titans offense? These are the questions they’ll be asking, and I think Vrabel and Co. will have answers.

Logan Ryan says the Titans never really talked an extension with him. I am really not surprised by that. Ryan was a great player and locker room guy, but the Kansas City game revealed why the Titans had to move on. He couldn’t keep up with the speed guys in the NFL. That’s why the Titans went young with Kristian Fulton in the draft, because he has the speed to play in the slot and take away some of those speed guys that burned the Titans previously.
