Dane Brugler put out his 2021 NFL mock draft. It was announced today that the 2021 NFL Draft will take place April 29-May 1. They moved it back a week presumably because of all of the questions about the timing of the upcoming college football season.
Probably the most interesting thing of this mock is that Brugler has the Jaguars with the first overall pick. That lands them Trevor Lawrence...but should he be the pick? Seth Galina of Pro Football Focus had some thoughts on that. Anyway, the Jaguars sucking again will be a lot of fun. Seeing them get a potential franchise quarterback won’t be fun, but they will probably find a way to screw that up.
As for the Titans, Brugler has them picking 19th overall. Before you get all mad about them picking there, he says at the top that he used reverse Super Bowl odds for his draft order. We know those things are very fluid.
His pick for the Titans was Creedy Humphrey, iOL, Oklahoma. His reasoning (see below) for the pick was solid, but I really hope the Titans can find a way to put together a good offensive line without having to spend ANOTHER first round pick on it.
The assumption here would have to be that Humphrey is the replacement for Ben Jones.
From Brugler:
If the Titans look to get younger at the center position, Humphrey is the top option next year’s class has to offer. Humphrey plays alert, quick and physical and will be a favorite of offensive line coaches whenever he decides to go pro.
Would you be happy with this pick?
