Daniel Jeremiah, who is honestly one of the best “draft guys there is, has released his final 2020 NFL mock draft. Before we get to who he picked for the Titans, let’s talk about some of the things that happened inside his top 10. He has the Dolphins passing on Tua Tagovailoa at 5 to take Justin Herbert. That would be an absolutely terrible decision for the Dolphins. Tua then goes to the Chargers at pick 6.
Isaiah Simmons then comes off the board at 7 to the Panthers. Simmons is going to be an interesting guy to watch here because he set the combine on fire and is an incredible athlete/player, but some coaches might have a hard time figuring out how to use him.
After Simmons comes off the board, the run on offensive tackles starts. Jeremiah has the next 4 teams picking an offensive tackle. That would obviously push some good players at other positions down the board, but it is not great for the Titans who would like to have some options at tackle when they are on the clock at 29.
As for the Titans, Jeremiah did have them taking an offensive tackle, Isaiah Wilson from Georgia, at 29. That has become a very popular pick in mocks. My biggest issue with it here is that Jeff Gladney is still on the board. I’m not sure the Titans can pass on a corner that can come in and play right away with how their depth chart looks at corner.
Jeremiah’s comments on the Wilson pick for the Titans:
Wilson replaces Jack Conklin at right tackle. This is earlier than I have him graded, but the buzz has been building on this hulking blocker for the past few weeks.
