Every year on the first night of the draft there are a few surprises both ways- guys that everyone thought would go in the first round and guys that no one mentioned as first round picks that get picked. It is one of the things that makes the NFL Draft one of the most compelling things that happens each year. This year will be no exception, and Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network wrote an article highlighting 4 guys that could be first round surprises.
The part of this that is noteworthy for us here is that the Titans have met with 2 of the 4 guys:
Reagor and Arnette included here as potential day one surprises (I don’t think Reagor would be a huge surprise personally). Both guys the Titans have met with. https://t.co/8FSCHDircr

Of course, Mike is astute as always. Reagor is a guy that has gotten a lot of buzz over the last week to ten days on #DraftTwitter. It won’t be much of a surprise at all if he goes in the first round.
Three of the other guys on the list, Julian Okwara, Robert Hunt and Damon Arnette, all play positions where the Titans have a need.
Speaking of the Titans and need, it seems pretty clear to me that the biggest need they currently have is at corner. Right now they really only have 2 guys, Adoree Jackson and Malcolm Butler, that have real playing experience. They probably need to add 2 corners in this draft.
After that they still need help on the offensive line with someone to compete with Dennis Kelly for the right tackle job. They need bodies on the defensive line with Jurrell Casey being traded and Austin Johnson being gone. I still think there is a chance that they end up signing Jadeveon Clowney to help there....which would also help with the need they have at EDGE.
Then there is the need at running back to complement/back-up Derrick Henry and a back-up quarterback.
How do you rank the needs the Titans have heading into the draft?
