There is so much going on in the NFL right now without anything actually going on. The window for teams to tag players opens tomorrow. Currently there are two tags teams can use, the franchise tag and the transition tag. In the new CBA there will only be one tag- the franchise tag. There is some chatter that if the new deal is agreed to in the next little bit the transition tag will go away for 2020. That makes things a little bit more interesting for a team like the Titans that has 2 players they could potentially tag- Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry.
Well after yesterday’s speculation that Jon Robinson’s comments on the contract situations of Tannehill and Henry meant that the Titans only want to keep Henry, we have this from the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport:
From NFL Now: With clarification coming on the franchise tags, more players are likely to be free. Meanwhile, the #Titans will try to get a deal done with QB Ryan Tannehill before the window closes... if they can. pic.twitter.com/8e7RTkm2rc

Rapoprt says there that the Titans will want to work out a long-term deal with Tannehill before the tag window closes on March 12th. Does he have good information on that? Who knows, but it should at least slow the narrative that Tom Brady is already on his way to Nashville.
Things will really start happening tomorrow!
