Philip Rivers to become a free agent

The Chargers and Philip Rivers announced today that the veteran quarterback will hit the free agent market:

Rivers has been with the Chargers for the entirety of his 16-year NFL career so obviously this marks the end of an era.

This quarterback free agent class is going to have more big names than any that I can remember. We now know Rivers will be there. It sure seems like Tom Brady is going to be there. There is still a chance Drew Brees could be there. You also have guys like Ryan Tannehill here, Dak Prescott and Teddy Bridgewater that have had at least some success as an NFL starting quarterback. Then there is Jameis Winston who throws a lot of touchdowns to both teams on the field.

Combine that with a pretty strong quarterback class in the draft and it sure seems like there is going to be more turnover at the quarterback position than we have seen in a long time.
