It appears that the Titans have placed Adam Humphries on IR again. The move was first noted by Mike Herndon when he noticed it on the Titans transaction list. It has since been confirmed by Justin Melo and John Glennon. Paul Kuharksy says it is concussion related.
Humphries is a guy that I was really excited about when the Titans signed him. He is never going to be a number one wide receiver, but he can be a very valuable guy to have out there. Unfortunately it hasn’t worked out for the Titans because of injuries. This move doesn’t necessarily end his season. They could designate him to return after three weeks.
The Titans will have some interesting decisions to make at receiver this offseason. The Titans will likely cut Humphries this offseason to save $4.75 million against the cap. They will also have to decide what to do about Corey Davis who is having a career year.
