This is really something. The NFL announced that Titans defensive tackle Teair Tart has been suspended for one game for an “incident” that occurred in Sunday’s loss to the Browns.
The NFL has suspended #Bengals S Shawn Williams and #Titans DE Teair Tart one game each for stepping on opponents in Sunday’s games, per @TomPelissero and me.

The incident was captured on the broadcast, and involved Tart stepping on Browns offensive linemen Wyatt Teller:

Tart has played some really good football as of late. He made plays in his debut against the Bears, and had a really strong showing versus the Colts as well. With that said, this was an idiotic decision on his part. He’s earned himself a well deserved suspension. The video reveals that it looks quite intentional. He’s appealing the suspension, but I can’t imagine it being overturned based on the damning footage. He’ll miss this Sunday’s game against the Jaguars. His absence should open up an opportunity for Larrell Murchison who’s been inactive as of late.
Mike Vrabel recently talked about avoiding penalties after the Titans took a trio of unnecessary roughness/sportsmanlike calls against the Browns:
#Titans' Vrabel: Message to players re bad penalties is "Don't do dumb shit to hurt the team."

I think it’s safe to assume that the Tart incident is the kind of “dumb sh*t” Vrabel is referencing.
