Wednesday injury report: Adoree Jackson limited, Kenny Vaccaro absent

NFL: Cleveland Browns at Tennessee Titans Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Wednesday’s injury report has arrived and there are some nuggets to digest here. Most notably, the Titans listed Adoree Jackson as limited with his knee injury while Kenny Vaccaro continues to miss practice with an illness.

When it comes to Jackson, I think it’s safe to assume he’s going to miss his 14th straight game on Sunday. The team obviously believes Jackson is going to return at some point or else they wouldn’t keep him on the active roster. The Titans are virtually a lock for the playoffs and having Jackson for the tournament is the most important thing at this point, but you’d probably like to see him play in at least one or two regular season games before they throw him out there in a crucial playoff game. I wonder if they’re saving him for next week’s showdown with the Packers.

In relation to Vaccaro, whatever “illness” he’s dealing with must be somewhat serious because it’s been impacting him for nearly a week now. He was a bit of a surprise scratch last week and continues to miss time this week. Wednesday is often a maintenance day for the Titans, hence several other veterans being listed as “did not practice” on this report here, but it’s likely more than maintenance for Vaccaro given the fact that he missed last Sunday’s game. Amani Hooker would start in his place should Vaccaro have to miss his second straight game.

We could receive more insight with tomorrow’s injury report.

The Titans take on the Lions this Sunday.
