Former Patriots tackle Marshall Newhouse works out for Titans

The Titans need to sign a lineman with the Ty Sambrailo injury news.

The Titans reportedly brought offensive tackle Marshall Newhouse in for a tryout today. Newhouse is a 9-year veteran who was with the New England Patriots last season - where started 9 games. He would have to start his COVID testing today in order to be on the roster to play on Sunday.

The Titans will have to sign an offensive lineman at some point this week with the news that Ty Sambrailo is likely out for the year. It will push everyone already on the roster up a spot, including rookie offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson who was active for the first time this season yesterday.

We have said it a million times, but it would be really nice for Wilson to be ready to go so that he could play right tackle and Dennis Kelly could slide over to right tackle. Unfortunately that isn’t going to happen. Newhouse would likely play ahead of Wilson if he were signed even at this point.

We talked about all of the injury issues this team has right now on last night’s Homerun Throwback. Listen here.
