Our friend Dan Kadar of Mocking the Draft fame has put out a new 2020 NFL mock draft this morning. He continues the trend of mocking an EDGE rusher to the Titans at #29. That is going to be the popular pick for them at least until we see what happens in free agency.
This time the EDGE the Titans picked is Terrell Lewis from Alabama. Lewis had 6 sacks in his junior season at Alabama after which he declared for the NFL Draft. That isn’t a great sack number, but that is about the best the Titans are going to do in a draft that is pretty thin at EDGE when they have the 29th pick. They could do worse. Lewis does give them the versatility we know Mike Vrabel wants upfront.
Here are Dan’s comments on the pick:
Lewis has garnered comparisons to Danielle Hunter of the Vikings, and the Titans would love to get a player like him in the first round. Lewis is comfortable standing up on the outside, but he can also play with his hand down.
Would you be happy with this pick? If not, who would you have taken in the same scenario that played out here?
