The Titans have waived wide receiver Kalif Raymond and promoted guard Aaron Stinnie to the 53-man roster in advance of their trip to Cleveland to take on the Browns per Terry McCormick.
Aaron Stinnie promoted to @Titans roster and Kalif Raymond waived. Could say a lot about Kevin Pamphile’s status for Sunday.

As Terry mentions in the tweet, this is likely not a good sign for Kevin Pamphile’s availability in this game. If he can’t go at right guard, Jamil Douglas will likely get the start in his place with Stinnie serving as a backup.
Paul Kuharsky notes that Pamphile is traveling with the team to Ohio so nothing is guaranteed at right guard yet.
.@KevinPamphile64 is with the #Titans in (or en route to) Cleveland. So OL not determined yet.

This also says something about where the team sees Nate Davis at the moment. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Stinnie that’s among the 46 active players Sunday instead of Davis. That’s not necessarily an indictment of the player, but rather an acknowledgment that he’s a guy who was always going to need some technique work and missed valuable time during camp due to injury. He’s also the only player in the mix at right guard that wasn’t with the Titans last year so his understanding of the offense likely isn’t on par with guys like Douglas and Stinnie.
Raymond was one of the feel good stories of training camp, but now he will have to pass through waivers. I’d be relatively surprised if he was claimed so there is a good chance he gets added to the practice squad until Pamphile is cleared to return.
