The Titans sit alone in first place after week 1. Everyone better just get used to that because THEY AIN’T LEAVIN’!!1...if they can avoid the letdown games that we have seen from them in the past. With that said, let’s take a look at how the other teams in the division did week 1:
Your defending AFC South Champion Texans lost a heartbreaker (great song) to the Saints in New Orleans on Monday Night. You really hate to see it. Bill O’Brien is such a bad coach and playcaller. Warren Sharp broke down some of the issues from last night’s game here.
The Colts also lost a tough one to the Chargers. They put up a valiant effort to tie the game only to lose in overtime. Marlon Mack ran for 174 yards in that one. He is going to be the focus of that offense now with Jacoby Brissett under center. I’ll take that over Andrew Luck all day!
Even with those tough losses, the Jaguars had the worst week 1 of anyone in the division. They got torched by the Chiefs at home and lost Nick Foles for at least 10 weeks. Foles isn’t great, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say that he is better than Gardner Minshew.
Week 1 AFC South Standings
Titans 1-0
Colts 0-1
Texans 0-1
Jaguars 0-1
