Jim Wyatt published an article today about the work Taywan Taylor is putting in this offseason. The Titans needed Taylor to step up and be the deep threat in the offense last season. He wasn’t able to do that. Now, I think it would be a mistake to pin all of that on him because of all of the other factors in the offense, but there were definitely times where he wasn’t good enough.
The article that Wyatt wrote says the Titans are looking for more opportunities for Taywan in 2019. I’m not sure that’s true, and honestly I don’t think it should be. Last year Taylor was arguably the Titans #2 receiver. This year he is #4 at best behind Corey Davis, Adam Humphries and A.J. Brown. How does that add up to more opportunities?
But here is my question for you, how do you feel about Taylor heading into the 2019 season. Do you still see him as the guy that has the ability to take the top off of defenses, or do you think he will spend most of the 2019 season on the sideline?
