One thing that is always fun to do before the season starts is predicting how players will do in the upcoming season. Of course it is a dumb exercise because there are millions of variables in an NFL season that make it impossible to predict, but hey, it is mid-July. What else are we going to talk about?
We continue our projections series with Corey Davis. I am really interested to see what Davis does this season. He has been a lot better than his numbers have shown so far in his career. There are a lot of people in the fanbase that are down on him because the numbers haven’t been “what you expect from the #5 overall pick.”
The good news about this year is that the Titans have 4-5 guys that are a legitimate threat in the passing game. That means that there may not be 1 guy that puts up huge numbers. That’s a good problem to have, and a new problem to the Titans.
Predict Davis’s catches, receiving yards and touchdowns. Here is my prediction:
75/950/8
At the end of this series I will compile the averages. We will re-visit our numbers at the end of the year to see how close we were to the actual numbers.
