It has been an up and down spring for Marcus Mariota and the Titans offense. Today, in day 1 of their mandatory mini-camp, was a down day:
In #Titans’ first full team period today, Mariota was truly terrible. Missed Davis right, missed Davis left, had a pick dropped, missed Sharpe badly. Other team period was all short stuff/ swing passes to backs. Don’t go nuts. But real throws in most real action were just awful.

Lest you think this is just Kuharsky being negative, here is what Turron Davenport of ESPN had to say about Mariota’s day:
Marcus Mariota struggled during team period today. A few late throws and one mistimed one to a TE. #Titans Mostly defensive standout today.

I am interested to see where all of you come down on this, but I just really don’t care how Mariota looks on the field in June. Would it be great to see that he was 14-14 and threw 5 touchdowns during practice? Absolutely, but ultimately that doesn’t matter any more than this negative performance.
What I do really want to see is everyone break training camp healthy. That’s absolutely the most important thing. After that, I just want to see the offense make positive progress throughout the offseason.
Of course we can just spin this in a positive for the defense, right?
I would love to hear your thoughts on at what point you would start to be really concerned about the offense if the up and down performances continue.
