As I said yesterday, it is really fun to read glowing reviews of the Titans 2019 draft. That continues today. Pro Football Focus wrote a post yesterday highlighting some of the biggest steals in the 2019 NFL Draft. I expected to see Jeffery Simmons on this list, but he isn’t. However, there are two Titans players on the list- A.J. Brown and Amani Hooker.

Are you like me? Are you afraid to be excited about A.J. Brown because of the Titans terrible history with wide receivers? With that being said, I am pumped about Brown. He is going to be a stud in this offense. Here is what PFF, who had him ranked 20th on theif big board, had to say about him:

With Brown, the Titans get versatility and the dynamic presence after the catch that the offense has been lacking. The Ole Miss wide receiver broke 40 tackles over the past two seasons.

The second pick they highlighted was Amani Hooker. Their comments:

We had a second-round grade on Hooker, and there’s no obvious metric or reason to point to for his fall. He had an elite 92.7 coverage grade over the past two seasons and tested out like an elite athlete with a 4.48 40-yard dash and 6.81 three-cone at 210 pounds.

We have talked about safety as one of the thinnest positions on the roster for the last couple of years. That isn’t the case anymore.
