Titans trade: Pick 121, 157.
Hooker is 5-11, 210 pounds and tested really well at the NFL Combine back in February. He ran the 40 yard dash in 4.47 seconds, while posting a 37 inch vertical leap. His 6.81 time in the three cone drill ranked in the 79th percentile.
He posted four interceptions in his final season as a Hawkeye, bringing his career total to six. Hooker registered 65 total tackles, including 3.5 for loss.
Here’s what Iowa SBNation blog Black Heart Gold Pants had to say on Hooker.
Hooker showed unprecedented versatility for an Iowa defender, seamlessly shifting between safety, outside linebacker, and slot cornerback. Hooker’s versatility sparked an important evolution in Iowa’s notoriously static defensive scheme as the Hawkeyes adopted a number of 4-2-5 defensive looks designed to capitalize on Hooker’s skill as both a run and pass defender. The Big Ten took notice, and Hooker was named the Tatum-Woodson Defensive Back of the Year.
