The 19th; Titans' Russian Roulette.

Good morning/afternoon/evening to MCMers across the world, my name is Cody The Spartan. It has been several months since my last FanPost due to personal issues. Hope everyone has been well.

Today's FanPost is a trending topic as far as draft selections go for the Titans, because there is not a clear breadwinner for this 2nd year regime in Mike Vrabel. You can easily pinpoint every detail pertaining to wide receiver, offensive interior linemen, and defensive tackle or ends. Fans debating vigorously to see if the franchise makes the right decision at either respected position. I didn't include tight end, because I do not think it will be emphasized until next Draft. It's very likely the Titans draft a running back, tight end, center, or if necessary a quarterback in the first 3 rounds.

Most analysts covering this year's Draft have a consensus pick for either wide receiver DK Metcalf or Antonio's cousin in Marquise Brown. While others see the likes of Brian Burns, Ferrell being the DEs drafted, or IOL. What matters is the biggest glaring weakness of the team.

What's my popular opinion, you obviously want to draft in this order: OG/OC, DE/DT, and WR. Now my unpopular opinion, WR, OC, and RB. My unpopular opinion would be heavily influenced by offense only, which is concerning. But. Does it help or harm the Titans in areas of need on defense?

The Titans true weakness on the defensive side would be the defensive line. While the unit has produced some of the NFL's best pressures, blitzes, and thrown balls to be knocked down, the sack statistically was very awful. If the Titans were better at sacking the opponent, there is a likely chance to be in double digit wins for the upcoming season. This is in itself is s blown opportunity to address the 2nd biggest issue on the team. You risk being middling in the pack in sacks. Despite being an quality defense, the sacks would push our defense to elite other than Top 10.

Now on the offensive side, the Titans still had a pretty solid offensive line, but it failed on the interior. This caused Marcus Mariota to hesitate his initial decision to throw, to either throw out if bounds or attempt to run outside of the pocket. This decision became an defacto rule of fans to see Mariota needs time in the pocket, like any QB in the NFL to make the right decision. People forget Mariota isn't an gunslinger or 50/50 miracle thrower, which has been overshadowed for great QBs, while it only seems a few QBs deserve that title. Mariota has a quick release, which is his bread and butter style of quarterbacking. Despite pedestrian numbers, Mariota continues to be sound down the field accurately and his short to intermediate passes are essential to his success. His true downfall is only his injuries and the magnitude of those injuries affecting his performance. Having to pick all offense in the 1st 3 rounds is essential to aid Marcus's future for the franchise and safety to his health too. I rather not see a great guy and someone who can be the franchise QB in the last 10 years that the city of Nashville admire him for his loving and caring personality. It's okay to have doubts and qualms about Mariota, but if Mariota can stay healthy and Tannehill helps Mariota in every facet, the ceiling is the limit said by Michael Jordan.

As far as the draft goes on, what is the right decision? Draft offensive pieces to protect and weaponry for Mariota, or fix the glaring problems on both sides of the ball. Either decision is a game of Russian Roulette. Choose wisely, be correct or bite the bullet.
