Jon Robinson said at the NFL Combine that Kenny Vaccaro was a priority for the Titans in free agency. It came as no surprise that the first signing that was announced for the Titans on Monday was Vaccaro. He agreed to a 4-year deal worth $26 million with $11.5 in guaranteed money. That’s a great contract considering what some of the other safeties got on the market.
Vaccaro was a huge signing for this team when Johnathan Cyprien went down with an ACL injury in training camp last season. It was really cool to see Vaccaro get choked up when talking about Cyp at his press conference this week. It just shows you even more why Vaccaro was so popular with this team and this fanbase.
