What are the odds? Titans vs. Raiders

NFL: Cincinnati Bengals at Oakland Raiders Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

The Tennessee Titans just keep winning with Ryan Tannehill under center. The Titans got past the Colts last week on the road, something that hasn’t happened very often over the last decade. Derrick Henry and the offensive line are rolling, and suddenly nobody in the league wants to take on this hot football team.

The Titans will continue their roll towards the playoffs with a road trip to Oakland on Sunday afternoon. Oakland was smashed last week in Kansas City, putting their playoff hopes in danger. Now at 6-6, this could be an elimination game for them.

Their issue is that they’re running into a hot Tennessee team. Vegas has taken notice, making the Titans a three point favorite in this one despite the trip across the country. The total is set at 47.5.

The Titans are 5-1 in the last six games against the spread. Interestingly enough, with Ryan Tannehill leading the offense, the over has hit in the last five games.

Tennessee will have to do it on Sunday without two keys parts of the secondary. Adoree Jackson and LeShaun Sims have already been ruled out for this one, putting pressure on Kareem Orr and newly signed Tramaine Brock.

For Oakland, they’ll be without tackle Trent Brown, while guard Gabe Jackson and running back Josh Jacobs are questionable. Both Jackson and Jacobs were limited on Friday.

Offensive coordinator Arthur Smith’s plan is clear for the rest of the year — ride Derrick Henry until the wheels come off. Considering the success that he’s had over the last 16 games, it’s tough to argue with that plan. Henry beat up on the 9th ranked rush defense in the league last week, so Oakland’s 11th ranked rush defense better be ready for the challenge on Sunday.

With the Titans travelling across the country, are you still comfortable taking Titans -3 here?
