For the second year in a row, the Titans face a win and in situation in week 17. The team travels to Houston, to face the AFC South Champion Texans and if Tennessee wins the game, they will be the 6th seed in the playoffs and likely facing the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs. Derrick Henry should be back for week 17, which will be huge. Hopefully Adoree Jackson gets back too.
The game yesterday mattered very little to the Titans’ playoff chances, especially with the Steelers losing to the Jets. I imagine this weighed heavily on the decision of the coaching staff to keep Derrick Henry out of the game on Sunday.
As of today, the Titans are in the playoffs. Win and in next week. If we don’t win, we need the Steelers and Colts to also lose.
Ryan Tannehill looked great again as a passer on Sunday, throwing 3 TDs. Unfortunately, he took 5 sacks, 4 of which were on him. He has to get the ball out faster in those situations. Do better, Ryan.
