The Titans lost to the Texans on Sunday. It sucked, they lost because Firkser couldn’t hold on to a perfect pass in the end zone that ended up being a 14 point swing, and Ryan Succop had a FG blocked because he’s not good any more. However, despite being down 14 points at half, the team came back, tied the game, and despite their best efforts, felt short. This wasn’t a classic Titans let down game, this was a game that ended up good, and a game in which the Titans moved the ball all over the Texans defense. So while the gut reaction probably feels like “same old Titans,” the reality is much different despite the result.
One of the bright spots for the Titans is that AJ Brown seems to be emerging not only as the best WR on the Titans, but as Tony Romo said during the broadcast, one of the best WRs in the league. He is a special talent.
Jonnu Smith was electric on Sunday, giving this offense yet another weapon. The big man can scoot, too!
The Titans are going to need everyone available Sunday against the Saints. Mike Vrabel said “we’ll see” regarding Adoree Jackson and others.
Ryan Tannehill might not have been otherworldly on Sunday, but if his regression looks like 280 yards and 3, should have been 4, TDs, I’ll take it. He was decisive yet again, even if he took a horrendous sack at the end of the game.
Titan Legend, Randy Moss, was named to the NFL 100 All Time team.
