Eddie George was on The Midday 180 today and told Jonathan Hutton that he doesn’t think people in the Titans locker room or around the league respect Taylor Lewan as a leader. That a pretty interesting comment from Eddie. You can listen to the entire interview here.

Of course it is impossible for us to know what people in the locker room really think about Lewan. What we can know is that Lewan’s play of the field has really dropped off this year:

Lewan is being paid like one of the best offensive tackles but he isn’t playing like one.

Lewan said after the game on Sunday that it is his job to bring energy and he hasn’t been doing that:

Honestly, it pisses me off to hear him say this. The guy put his team in a really bad spot when he tested positive for a performance enhancing drug and missed the first 4 games of the season. He came out with the crying video about how sorry he was to do this to the team and the fans. How can he not be bringing the energy for his team every week after he put the team in that tough spot??

The Titans have a lot of money tied up in Lewan. We have been giving heat to Mike Vrabel, Arthur Smith and Dion Lewis for the role they have played in the Titans disappointing season. Lewan might need to move to the top of that list.
