The Titans had 75 snaps on offense yesterday. Derrick Henry played 40. Dion Lewis played 35. Now, some of that can be chalked up to game script, but this seems like coaching malpractice overall. Lewis just hasn’t been effective since he signed here. Henry has his shortcomings, but there is no way you can make any argument that giving the ball to Lewis is a better way to move the football.
A.J. Brown finally moved into 2nd place in snaps played among receivers. His 52 snaps trailed only Corey Davis’s 58. Adam Humphries saw 47 snaps. I remember when I thought the Titans were going to have a really fun offense with those 3 guys.
The other number that really jumped out to me was that Harold Landry played 69 of 71 (97%) defensive snaps. That was the most snaps he has played in a game this season. He finished the game with a sack and interception- not a bad day’s work.
Also of interest, Jeffery Simmons played 49 snaps yesterday. That was a season high for him. It is good to see him continuing to gain strength as he plays.
LeShaun Sims 16 snaps with most of them presumably coming after Malcolm Butler was hurt.
