Tua Tagovailoa NFL draft odds

Most of you know that I am a huge Alabama fan, so of course it was heartbreaking to watch the injury to Tua Tagovailoa on Saturday. Of course it was tough because of the on the field stuff, but you also hate it for such a talented kid with his entire future ahead of him. The good news is that the prognosis seems to be pretty positive for him- especially considering all of the Twitter doctors said on Saturday that he would never play again.

This obviously changes a lot of the conversation around the 2020 NFL Draft. Tua was expected to be at the very least one of the first two quarterbacks off the board. That is certainly in question now with his rehab expected to stretch into the summer months. I can’t see a team like the Dolphins spending their first round pick on such an unknown at this point.

The brings into question where he will end up getting picked. The nightmare scenario here is that he is still on the board when the Patriots pick at then end of the first round. They take him, he sits behind Tom Brady for a year or two and the Patriots will all of the Super Bowls for eternity.

Odds Shark has put out odds for where he will be drafted. It seems there is a pretty good chance he could be on the board when the Titans pick:

How does a plan of re-signing Ryan Tannehill on a 2-year deal and drafting Tua sound? I’m in.
