Last night, James and I recorded a podcast touching on the Titans win over Tampa Bay and focusing on this weekend’s matchup in Carolina.
Also, Logan Ryan should be a defensive-player-of-the-year candidate. He is playing outstanding football. Because he isn’t a pass rusher, we are going to have to work extra hard to publicize the All Pro-level he is playing at right now.
.@Titans CB @RealLoganRyan is the first NFL player since 2000 with at least three sacks (3.5), three interceptions (3) and three forced fumbles (3) in his team’s first eight games of a season.

There is one play from the Panthers-49ers game last weekend that I mention on the podcast. Here’s a visual reference so that you can see what I’m talking about:
When discussing this play on the pod, I mistook Jarius Wright for D.J. Moore. It’s actually Wright who comes wide open on the play. Kyle Allen only has eyes for Christian McCaffrey. The corner is ready to drive forward on a potential pass to CMC, and the robber linebacker over the middle abandons his assignment completely to double-cover McCaffrey. With Jarius Wright wide open over the middle, Kyle Allen stays on his first read and eventually takes the sack.
