When it was reported by Paul Kuharsky a couple of weeks ago that the Titans were targeting the Chargers game for Jeffery Simmons’s NFL debut it was pretty surprising. Simmons is just over 8 months removed from tearing his ACL getting ready for the 2019 NFL Draft. This is a really quick recovery for anyone, but especially a guy that weighs over 300 pounds. I just hoped the Titans knew what they were doing.

Well Simmons did indeed make his NFL debut yesterday and he was awesome. He played 21 of the Titans 64 defensive snaps yesterday. Simmons finished the day with 4 tackles, 1 sack and 2 tackles for a loss. The Titans will certainly take that type of production.

The best news is that he appears to have come out of the game healthy. It will take some time to see if there are any long term effects from him coming back so quickly from the injury, but the early returns are nothing short of incredible.
