Delanie Walker is out for the year with a “dislocated ankle and an associate fracture,” according to Ian Rapoport.
#Titans TE Delanie Walker suffered a dislocated ankle in today’s loss vs the #Dolphins, I’m told. There was also an associated fracture. His season is almost certainly over, a tough injury for an underrated and productive player.

If you saw the injury you knew the best case scenario was that he would go on IR and return after a couple of months, so it really isn’t a surprise to see this report.
The Titans are in some trouble now. They don’t have a guy that come anywhere close to giving them what Delanie gave them as a receiver and a blocker. Jonnu Smith can be a serviceable pass catcher, and Luke Stocker is fine as a blocker, but the combination of those guys best attributes isn’t anywhere close to what Delanie is.
At the end of the day, the most important thing is Delanie’s health. My #thoughtsandprayers (but for real) go out to him. That’s a brutal injury that causes him to lose his entire season. I can’t imagine what he is going through right now.
