DeVante Parker will not play against the Titans in week 1

NFL: Miami Dolphins at Los Angeles Chargers Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald is reporting that DeVante Parker will not play against the Titans in week 1. Parker broke his finger in a training camp practice in August. Parker is obviously a very talented player, but he has been more inconsistent than anything during his NFL career.

The Dolphins have an interesting receiving group. Jarvis Landry, who had been a target monster for the team for the last few years, is gone. That leaves them with Kenny Stills who has mostly been known as the deep threat guy. The Titans did a nice job on him last year when these two teams met. Stills only managed 1 catch for 13 yards in that game.

They added Danny Amendola and Albert Wilson this offseason. Amendola will most likely assume the role that Landry played in the past. They will target him a lot and probably mostly close to the line of scrimmage.

Wilson is the wild card here. The Dolphins gave him a bunch of money (3 years with $14.45 million guaranteed). Was he worth it? How will they use him? Those are the things that I would be wondering if I was scheming against this team.
