NFL: Green Bay Packers at Tennessee Titans Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

First quarter

Packers answer with a touchdown drive of their own. We are tied at 7.

Titans cap off a beautiful drive with a 4-yard TD from Marcus Mariota to Darius Jennings.

Mariota makes a beautiful throw on third down to Nick Williams for a 38 yard gain.

Football is finally (sort of) back! The Titans open their 2018 preseason with a trip to Lambeau Field to take on the Packers. We probably won’t get to see much of the starters- possibly a series or two. It’s better than nothing.

The list of players that probably won’t appear for the Titans is pretty long. It is reasonable to assume that we won’t see Corey Davis, Rishard Matthews, Jack Conklin, Brian Orakpo and Rashaan Evans. It’s not the end of the world that those guys are missing preseason game #1, but it would be nice for them to get the full complement of work in a new system.

The silver lining with those guys being out is that some of the younger guys are going to get huge run. Mike wrote earlier about 6 under the radar guys to watch. Akrum Wadley has to be the guy on that list that I am the most excited about. I am really rooting for him to make the team.

Last night Terry and I previewed the game on our podcast, Locked on Titans. You can listen to that here.
